Install on iPhone

  1. After purchase, open the QR code email from esim@simju.com.
  2. On your iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM.
  3. Tap "Use QR Code" and point your camera at the QR code in the email.
  4. Tap Continue through the prompts. The profile installs in under 60 seconds.
  5. When asked to label the line, name it "SimJu" so you can find it easily.
  6. At your destination: Settings → Cellular → SimJu → turn on "Data Roaming".
  7. Under Cellular Data, select SimJu as the active data line.
Your timer starts the moment you connect to a local network — not when you scan the QR code. Feel free to install at home days before your trip.

When does data start?

Your data plan starts the first time your device connects to a local mobile network at your destination. Installing the eSIM at home does not start the clock.

Topping up data

When your data runs low, log in to your SimJu account and purchase a top-up. Data is added to your existing eSIM instantly — no new QR code required.

Using as a hotspot

Hotspot (tethering) is supported on all SimJu plans. Enable it from your phone's normal hotspot settings. Hotspot data counts against your plan's data allowance.

Common questions

The QR code scan isn't working. What do I do?

Try these steps: (1) Ensure you're on Wi-Fi. (2) The QR code can only be scanned on one device — if you already scanned it, the eSIM is installed. (3) If the screen is zoomed in, zoom out. (4) Contact support and we'll send an activation code you can enter manually instead.

I have no internet after switching to SimJu. What's wrong?

Check these settings: (1) Data Roaming is ON for the SimJu line. (2) SimJu is selected as your active data SIM (not your home SIM). (3) You have data remaining — check your account. (4) You're in a covered country — check our coverage page.

Can I delete the eSIM and reuse it later?

If you delete an eSIM profile from your device, you cannot reinstall it. The QR code only works once. However, you don't need to delete it — just leave it stored on your phone and buy a new plan next time you travel. It reactivates automatically.
